A late spring snowfall.
Lower Yellowstone Falls drops 308 feet, flowing about 50,000 gal/sec here.
Looking southeastward, from Artist Point. Along the river, hot springs gurgle into the cold mountain water. The yellow in the stone owes to oxidized volcanic rock.
